Walking bottom furnace
Walking bottom furnace consists of furnace body (including fixed bed and walking bed), walking mechanism, air/gas pipelines, autocontrol system, burning device, gas discharge system and so on. According to the size of the billets, we can use single or double walking beds, which can move individually or move simultaneously, to suit for the arrangement of both long and short billets.
The walking mechanism is composed of two special mechanisms, one is used to do the perpendicular motion of walking beams, and the other is used to do the horizontal motion of walking beams. The former is named vertical motion beam, which is supported by the wheel pair groups equipped below itself, and which moves along the inclining track on the fixed frames equipped on the base ground. The latter is named level motion beam, which is supported by the wheel pair groups equipped on vertical motion beam. They are driven by the hydraulic cylinders, which are supplied with hydraulic oil by hydraulic station. When the vertical motion beam is moving up, the level motion beam is moving forwards; while the vertical motion beam is moving down, the level motion beam is moving back to its original position. To avoid furnace internal slabs and billets from deviating, deviation-rectifying devices are specially designed and included, ensuring the deviation is less than 15mm along the length of the workpieces. |
